We respect your right to have your personal data deleted. This page explains how to request deletion, what data will be removed, and what to expect during the process.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data in two ways:
Option 1: Email Request
- Send an email to privacy@tryqwerty.com
- Use the subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
- Include the following information:
- Your account email address
- Your business name (as registered in TryQwerty)
- Reason for deletion (optional but helpful)
Option 2: Account Settings (Future)
We are building a self-service deletion feature. Soon you will be able to:
- Navigate to Account Settings → Delete Account
- Confirm deletion with password verification
- Receive immediate confirmation email

Request Deletion via EmailWhat Gets Deleted
When you request deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
Account Data
- Email address and login credentials
- Profile information (name, business details)
- Account preferences and settings
Business Data
- Marketing sequences and automation workflows
- Email templates and content
- Integration configurations (Shopify, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Brand settings (sender names, logos)
Customer Data
- Customer contact lists (names, emails, phone numbers)
- Message history (emails sent, SMS delivered, WhatsApp messages)
- Campaign analytics and performance data
- Customer engagement data (opens, clicks, conversions)
Backups
- Your data will be removed from active databases immediately
- Backup copies will be purged within 30 days of deletion request
What Doesn’t Get Deleted
For legal and compliance reasons, some information is retained:
Financial Records
- Invoices and payment history: Retained for 7 years (tax and legal requirements)
- Transaction records: Required by financial regulations
Audit Logs
- Security logs: Retained for 2 years (security and compliance requirements)
- Access logs: Used to prevent fraud and abuse
Aggregated/Anonymized Data
- Platform analytics: Anonymized usage statistics without personally identifiable information
- Research data: De-identified data used to improve our services
Note: Retained data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to you.
Timeline
Here’s what to expect after submitting your deletion request:
- Request Received (Day 0):
- We verify your identity via email
- Confirmation email sent acknowledging receipt
- Deletion Initiated (Within 5 Business Days):
- Your account is disabled (no further access)
- Active database deletion begins
- Email notification sent confirming deletion has started
- Deletion Completed (Within 30 Days):
- All active data removed from production systems
- Email notification sent confirming completion
- Backup Purge (Additional 30 Days):
- Backup copies are overwritten during normal backup cycles
- Total time from request to complete removal: Up to 60 days
Confirmation
You will receive email confirmations at each stage of the deletion process:
Initial Confirmation Email
- Sent within 24 hours of request
- Includes deletion request ID and timeline
- Provides contact information for questions
Deletion Started Email
- Sent when deletion begins (within 5 business days)
- Confirms your account has been disabled
- Provides estimated completion date
Deletion Completed Email
- Sent when active deletion is finished
- Includes:
- Deletion ID for your records
- Timestamp of completion
- Summary of what was deleted
- Note about backup purge timeline (30 additional days)
Alternative: Account Deactivation
If you’re not ready for permanent deletion, consider account deactivation as an alternative:
What is Deactivation?
- Your account is temporarily disabled (no access)
- Your data is preserved but not accessible
- You can reactivate your account within 90 days
Reactivation Process
Auto-Deletion After 90 Days
- If you don’t reactivate within 90 days, your data is permanently deleted
- You will receive a warning email 7 days before auto-deletion
- After 90 days, deletion follows the same process as manual deletion requests
To request deactivation instead of deletion, email privacy@tryqwerty.com with the subject line: “Account Deactivation Request”
